William Howard Collier, 88, of Branford, died November 15, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Swezey Collier. He was born February 22, 1924 in New Haven, son of the late Edward D. and Helen Sweeney Collier. Mr. Collier served bravely in the U. S. Army in the European Campaign during World War II, including participating in the Battle of the Bulge. William was part owner and master mechanic for the former Fletcher's Garage in New Haven.
