Alfred (Pete) D. Long, 78, of Hartford, passed away on August 28, 2013. He was born in Hartford, on February 8, 1935, to the late Calvin Coleman and Annarene Evans. Alfred served honorably in the United States Army. After graduating college he became employed at CRT as a substance abuse counselor. Alfred then became employed by the Hartford Housing Authority as the Coordinator for the Youth Dept. this is where he founded the P.R.I.D.E project for children and spent most of his adult life...
