Bernice Bertash, 97, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully Friday (June 21, 2013) at Hughes Health & Rehabilitation Center in West Hartford. Daughter of the late Casper and Suzanna Bertash, Bernice was born in Sag Harbor, Long Island on May 22, 1916. She attended the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford and later worked for Sage Allen in Hartford. Bernice had a love of painting and flower gardening. She leaves a sister, Suzanne Kuchas of Windsor and several nieces and nephews. ...
