Jane (Ryan) Olson, 84, of West Hartford, widow of Gilbert A. Olson, Sr., died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Governor's House in Simsbury. Born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Arthur Benton Ryan, Jr. and Emily Humphreys Ryan, Jane graduated from Middletown High School, Class of 1946. She studied to be a nursery school teacher at Centenary College in Hacketstown, NJ and worked with young children most of her life, providing daycare in and out of the home.
