Robert W. Rankin, 83, formerly of Vernon, died Monday (June 17, 2013) at Crestfield Health Care Center, Manchester. Born in Buffalo, NY on March 4, 1930 son of the late Gerard and Helen (Walker) Rankin he had lived in Mercersburg, PA, in South Windsor and in Vernon. Robert graduated from Hartford High School and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut.
