Thomas F. Matto of Fairfield, age 87, passed away on February 23, 2013 after a prolonged illness. Tom was born in Bridgeport, CT on January 21, 1926 to Frank and Theresa Benitz Matto, the sixth of nine children. His pursuit of higher education was postponed by WW II during which he served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator with the 501 Air Service Group in Weisbaden, Germany.
