Edward Cate Wood, 88, died on January 29 at home. Born in Rochester, New Hampshire in 1924 to Milton and Grace Cate Wood, Ed joined the Navy at age 17, serving on Crash boats off the coast of Africa until 1945. On his return he met and married Madelyn McGrath, who would be his beloved wife for 65 years.
