V. Shirley Fanning, died in her home in Deep River on May 10th. She was born in New Haven, CT on December 23, 1922 to Anna and Joseph Fanning. She was predeceased by her brother James Fanning Sr. and her nephew James Fanning Jr. Shirley worked for over 40 years for the New Haven Railroad, really enjoyed her life, traveling, friends, pets, nieces and nephews and a good book.
